I know Gabriel is a dude. The picture is of Natasja; I was talking to Gabriel when I posted. Gabriel wouldn't be saying that Tasj was the most beautiful girl in the world if she was a girl.

After I think long and hard it suddenly makes sense, the comma threw me off.

You go dump your stuff in your room. I'll go put mine things into mine and i'll meet you back here in 10 so i can give you the grand tour of this place" said Natasja cheerfuly

Later that afternoon Gabriel and Natasja were touring the school. Natasja took Gabriel right from the entrance up the towers, around the halls and out into the grounds, and the whole time they chatted and laughed together. Right from the beginning, when they had breifly parted to put their bags in their dorms, Natasja had felt strange. Gabriel was good-looking, there was no denying it, but Natasja had never really seen in a boy what she saw in Gabriel. His hair, his eyes, his voice...But Gabriel scared her. Natasja had the power of seeming, and she had frightened people because they hadn't been able to trust people when she was around, in case they weren't who they seemed to be. Gabriel scared Natasja for a different reason: he could effectively read her mind. She didn't know the details of his powers but it frightened her. It was bad enough trying not to say the wrong thing: what if she thought the wrong thing? She'd ruin their friendship forever. But as soon as she descended the stairs from her dorm to meet him again, these thoughts left her. All he said was, "Shall we go, then?" and her fears disappeared. She didn't think of his, or her, powers at all all that afternoon. All that was there was them, powers or no. Awwww

After un-packing his things Phil left Alex in the dorm to go fetch their time tables. Since his last visit they had repainted the place in a blood red colour that made the janitor, who was scared of blood, feel sick, or so the rumour he heard on the way down said.
Phil reached the bottom of the stairs and saw the new guy and Tasj walk in the opposite direction. Tasj was walking quite close to him and looking at him occasionally. Phil continued going the opposite way to reception to pick up his and Alexs' timetable.
He reached the desk and there was a sign there, it read "Printer broken, Timetables will be delivered tonight". Behind the desk was a useful friend of Phil's. He was in his early thirties and was married with kids. His name was Joe Knife. He would smuggle stuff into school for Phil in exchange for information on pranks that may happen. Much of what Phil said wasn't true and was usually just a way of getting people he didn't like in trouble.
Joe looked up "Ah, you decided not to move to another school then?" "Why would I do that?" Phil already knew why, he hated it at Kleuter "Well thats not what I'm here for, why can't you print the stuff off from a different computer?" "It's an old computer, very old" he replied "We don't have disks the size of mouse mats anymore also the computer isn't hooked up to the network. Just go off and wreck the school while you have the time" Joe smiled and went back to doing his job. Phil smiled and walked back to the dorm.

On the way back Phil walked into Tasj and the new kid again. He stared. They were holding hands. "Hows it going, Natasja?" Tasj paused. "Okay, thanks, Phil." They didn't get on as the best of friends. "You?" "Can't complain." His eyes drifted onto Gabriel. "I see you've met the new kid." "Yeah," Tasj said defensively. "Making friends already," Phil said, nodding to their hands. Gabriel and Tasj swiftly released hands. Phil grinned. "See you in class, Tasj." He passed Gabriel, shoving him slightly as he did. Gabriel watched him leave before turning back to Tasj, who sighed. "I'm sure he doesn't mean to be mean," she said sadly. "Believe me, he does," Gabriel said. "He's planning to use me to embarrase you tomorrow." "How do you--oh, right. What did he say? Um, I mean, think?"

Phil was still clueless as to what Gabriels power was but he walked back into his dorm. He thought about what he could plan to do, he changed his mind and decided not to.
He lay down on the bed and looked up on the ceiling, it was white and bare. Other people had put posters up in their dorm. He unrolled a few of his posters and put up some photos on his half of the room.

"Something about the new kid being the height of embarrasment," Gabriel said, trying to sound offhand. Tasj heard in his voice that he was hurt. "Don't listen to him," she said kindly. "Look, it's getting on. We should unpack. Do you want to meet up for dinner?" Having agreed to meet in the dining hall, Tasj and Gabriel went their separate ways to their dorms. Tasj made her way up the stairs, with a distinct feeling of warmth and excitement inside her. She'd never had a boyfriend before, and had in the past never cared to find one, but she felt different with Gabriel. Maybe, if she was lucky, he felt the same. How was she to know? He could read her mind, and what could she do? In all her time at Kleuterschool she'd never found a decent use of her power of seeming. Half-dejected, half-exticed, she hurried up the stairs.
