DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES IS 13th JUNE (WEDNESDAY) VOTING WILL BEGIN ON THE THURSDAY Right, I thought this could work well.. Basically, I provide a theme and the entrants produce a piece of artwork on the theme. It can be anything as long as it (or a photo) can be posted on this forum. Rules: - One entry per member
- Pictures must be posted if it is a physical construction.
- Photoshop may be used, for ANY purpose other than making the photographs of a sculpture entry look better...
- Photoshop may be used if your entry is a photograph.
- Anything which is not your own work MUST NOT BE ENTERED
Everyone can enter and there will be a poll at the end. It is important that you DO NOT VOTE FOR YOURSELF!! The theme of contest number one will be: INDUSTRIAL Interpret this in any way you want, using any media you want. Have fun! I will make a thread for the entries. This thread should contain NO discussion, only the entries. ONE POST PER USER. The thread is here!Good luck! mc_nebula

I don't understand what we are actually allowed to use photoshop for/ what counts as making it look better. I take it means not drawing any more on to the construction, but does it include selective colouring and therefore colour enhancement, overlaying of multiple pictures and distortion? All of which could count as making it look better.

These two rules contradict each other and therefor cause my head to explode.
EDIT: You mean sculpture? If so say sculpture, not physical construction, that sounds like a whole building.

Yea, thats what I mean... If you make something like a sculpture or whatever and photograph it to make it look better then that is not allowed. If your entry is a photograph, photoshop away!

What if you were making a sculpture to incorporate into a photoshop collage. So the sculpture was only going to be a part of the overall piece, not the focus?
And what would a model made on a PC be classed as? Is that a sculpture, if so we wouldn't be able to photoshop it?
I'm just asking because i have an idea.

gah, fuck you...
use your judgement.
In your first example, I would allow it.
A model on a PC can be shopped as it is not a physical sculpture.
deadline added to first post.
