I said i'd post a role play...so i will. Its not extremley inspired but what the hell it might work (in fact come to think of the plot is exactly the same as Buffy's) anyway basically there's a sleepy little town that draws vampires and other nasty things towards it. This is because it was the birth place of Dracula so it has dark energy all around it. In order to keep the town a safe a group called The Phantoms sent a bunch of super powered people to protect it.
So yeah thats the plot.
Name: Blake Sex: Male Powers: Enhanced abillties Bio: Was born in the world for the sole purpose of keeping an Angel sole locked inside him, the angel partly broke out giving him eternal life and super strength. Once this happenend he started see what a crappy place the world was and decided to make it better. Appearence: Skinnier then the average person, wears blue jeans and a black top. Has short messy hair and light blue eyes

Name: Dylan Sex: Male Powers: Invisibility, short-distance teleportation Description: Is a mute. Has black hair and dark eyes, pretty small, wears a black hoodie and black shorts with black and red Converse Allstars. Bio.: Discovered his talents as a young child but kept them strictly secret. Spent as much time as he could away from home to keep his secret but was always teased and bullied for his disabilities and because he never fitted in, and when he eventually lashed out he badly injured another boy and ran away from home, later making a reappearance just long enough to fake his own death. Taking his dead brother's name he left his home town and heard about ^^ and decided to help out

[glow=red,2,300]So, can I start this? It's gone rather quiet..[/glow]
The moon was just about pushing its rays through the thick cloud cover that night, the ground and walls of the town still glistening from the previous day's rain. The constant, rhythmic dull thud of footsteps on wet ground could be heard across the city walls. Thud. Thud. Thud. The town was asleep. For decades now the awareness of anyone in the area had relied on the daytime; when the sun went down, so did they. Thud. Thud. Thud. Only one man was still awake, and he was the one pacing back and forth across the wall, his boots splashing steadily in the shallow puddles. His crimson-lined cloak fell just short enough to avoid the dampness, drifting along behind his boots like wings on the wind; his gloved hands tensed and flexed, hovering ever near the sword at his belt. Thud. Thud. Thud. His name was James McTagger, and he was out for blood that night.

Dylan was sitting on a low wall kicking the back of his heels against the stone. It was late afternoon pushing on evening, and he'd been there since just after midday. It was a cold evening and the blackened sky threatened rain, but Dylan had no plans to leave his solitary wall for somewhere warmer. Primarily, this was because he had nowhere else to go. Besides, he hadn't been given a time to be here; just a day. It could have been morning; it could have been afternoon; it could have been moments before midnight. All he knew was that he was here for a reason, and that reason was that he'd ben summoned. He knew nothing about the man who had called him here, save that his name was Blake.

Dylan was beggining to get impatient until he saw someone walking towards him, he knew this person was diffrent from anyone else because no one else was out on the street. The person walking towards him looked tired and was moving very slowly, his hair was messy and a gash run across his skinny arm. "Hi, my names Blake." He said, his voice was tired and shaky. Dylan didn't reply, he just nodded to say that he understood "Hmm, I suppose I should give you the backstory. This town pretty much belongs the demons and monsters, I was sent here by The Phantoms to fight them of, but its proving to much for me, thats why you were sent here." He explained, again Dylan nodded to say that he understood. "They told me someone would be travelling with you." Said Blake looking around. Dylan made a movement showing that she had gone looking for a place to stay. "Okay, well if you can't find anywhere I can let you stay in my spare room for a while." Said Blake "Anyway, I've got to be going, Bye." Blake walked of into the cold night, he thought the meeting went well, even if it was a bit odd. As long as the person could help it didn't matter what kind of person he was. When Blake got to his house his manner changed slightly, it went from being cool and calm to slightly scared but excited. He twisted the key in the lock and entered, the lights were all the rooms. Just the way he wanted it... (I didn't want Blake to be a goody goody, so I thought I'd make him a bit weird, haven't worked out how yet.) "

Dylan frowned slightly, wondering at the strange newcomer and his odd introduction. Before he could contemplate it further, though, he heard a shout from behind him. "Hey, Dyl! Dylan!" The female voice was soon accompanied by a female figure running towards him from behind the wall. Her black and pink pigtails swished around her face as she ran. She was a pretty girl, Dylan had always thought, and he enjoyed being with her because she was the sort of person who happily used the word 'conversation' to mean 'I'll talk and you listen'. On the only time they'd really been formally introduced, she'd told him to refer to her as Sab. She drew up beside Dylan, catching her breath. "Got held up in the last place," she said breathlessly. "Some weird guy trying to get my number. Anyone been here?" Dylan nodded. Sab raised her eyebrows. "Was it Blake?" Nod. "Where is he now?" Dylan shrugged. Sab assumed that this meant he had already left. She was used to deciphering Dylan's communication, and understood a little sign language when she needed it. "Did he say anything interesting?" Dylan formed the sentence with a mixture of traditional hand spelling and some of what he and Sab had worked out together. He has accommodation if we need it."Oh, that's good, then," Sab said brightly, " 'cause that last fellow was mighty reluctant to let me in. Has he gone back? Which way did he go?" Dylan leapt lightly onto the ground and led Sab in the direction Blake had disappeared in. [glow=red,2,300]This whole mute thing may cause some difficulties here...well, it'll be interesting [/glow]

They wondred down the deserted streets, to there surprise no house lights were on at all, once or twice they saw somebody looking cautiously out the window in there direction. "This town is really weird." Said Sab looking around the dark streets. Dylan nodded in agreement. Eventually they found Blake's house. "I guess we should knock." Said Sab looking at the house, all the lights were off, she doubted anyone was home. Dylan nodded in agreement and knocked on the door. For a short while they heard nothing, but then a crashing sound came from the upstairs, seconds later they saw Blake standing in front of then. He was hot and sweaty and blood was pouring out a new cut in his arm. Dylan gave him a slightly perplexed look. "Umm, I take it you couldn't find anywhere to stay?" He asked "No, I'm sab by the way." She said, it looked as though she was going to hold her hand out, but seeing the blood on Blake's she thought better of it. "I'm Blake, okay then. Wait out here I'll be out in a second." Said Blake, about ten minutes later he was back. "Right I guess you should come in then."

Sab and Dylan cautiously stepped in. "Um, don't mind my asking," Sab said carefully, "but you do know that you're...ah...covered in blood?" Blake laughed in a sort of breathless, exhausted way. "Don't you worry about that. Sab, did you say? And what's your name?" he asked Dylan. "That's Dylan," Sab said. "Dylan the silent," she added. "He was kidnapped by assassins once and gassed, and it screwed his voice something bad, eh, Dyl?" Dylan shrugged with a small, placent smile. "Right," Blake said. "Well, take a seat, anywhere..." He gestured to the messy sitting room. "If you'll excuse me...I'll just be a mo..." He disappeared up the stairs again.

Dylan and Sab obediently fell back onto the soft sofa behind them as Blake disappeared up the stairs. As soon as his footsteps had faded Sab turned to Dylan. "What do you think?" she asked. "Think he's trustworthy?" Dylan shrugged. "I do," Sab said thoughtfully. "But I reckon we should wait 'til he shows us what's really going on here. These stories about daemons and vampires--when I see them for myself, then I'll believe him." Dylan nodded to show he agreed. "You armed?" Sab asked presently. Dylan nodded, tapping his fingers against the dagger sheathed at his belt. "Good. Hope this guy isn't long. I want some questions answered, then I want to get out and see what the hell he's talking about."
