One by one the crew of the Black Decadance began to defeat the invaders. Toby slid down the rope to the deck, still firing at the stranger pirates. He knocked one of them backwards and over the edge of the ship. Spinning around, another two pirates advanced on him, cutlasses to hand. Toby shot one of them dead before his flintlock was knocked from his hand.

It was at his pint that Jack popped his head up onto Deck again, only to have t withdraw it again to avoid the gunfire. He stayed put for a while as the shot from flintlock's whistled overhead. Eventually he plucked up the courage to take another look at the battle. As he looked around, he could see that some of the crew, especially Toby who was pinned down by a large irate pirate! Jack slung his blunderbuss onto his back and Drew his sword. He lept up onto deck and ran over to where Toby was being held. He crept up behind the large pirate and tapped him on the shoulder.. As he turned around Jack swung his blunderbuss stock with all his might and knocked the baddie to the floor. As he got up gain, Jack drew his sword and the dazed pirate did the same, wobbled and fell over, unconscious. Jack held out a hand and helped Toby to his feet and they prepared to fight the next wave of attackers who came their way.

Jack and Toby threw themselves into battle with the last of the commondeers even as they hauled themselves onto the deck. Dizzy and Rose were already forcing others back towards the railings, and Jack and Toby could hear the screams and splashes as one by one they were shoved unceremoniously over the edge. Toby laughed as hetripped one of the pirates, shoving him in Jack's direction, to be impaled almost to the hilt on Jack's cutlass. They were winning. They could wipe out these invaders with no casualties at all. Or, so it seemed. Even as this thought ran through Toby's head... [glow=red,2,300]Continue, whoever it may concern [/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]Apparently I've confused a few people with my last post. I wasn't implying that anyone's characters were killed, if that's what came across! Injured, maybe. Or not at all. I didn't mean for it to come across like that!![/glow]

As that thought ran through Tobys head, Jack slipped on a patch of blood on the deck. As he scrambled up, slightly bruised a border lunged at him. He did not have time to draw his sword so he just pulled the trigger on his blunderbuss and closed his eyes to avoid looking at the bloody mess that was a border. He slung the blunderbuss over his back and drew his sword as the last border lunged at him. Jack was joined by the rest of the crew and the boareder flung himself over the deck rail and into the water below. He began to swim like there was no tomorrow, which in his case there probobly wan not because Jack was re-loading his flint lock and taking careful aim, using the rail as a steady. He slowed his breathing, and pulled the trigger. The boarder began to writhe in the water and the water in his immediate area turned dark red. As the crew began the clean up, flinging the bodies over the side and salvaging weapons and valuables the sharks gathered around the twitching body of the boarder.

[glow=red,2,300]Genius [/glow] The crew cheered as the last of the invaders were forced over the railings. Toby helped Jack to his feet; his face was bruised and his nose bleeding but otherwise they had come away from the battle completely unharmed. The Black Decadance continued its majestic way out of the bay.

The sun was high in the sky by now, and the wind blowing hard, casting up waves for the Decadance to crash its way through. The crew had cleaned up the mess caused by the fights and Jack and Dizzy were patching up the damage. Toby was up in the crows nest, not really concentrating on what was around them, drowsy and relaxed in the heat. For a few hours it was clear sailing for the Decadance.
Ivan was standing at the front of the ship with his compass and map, gazing out over the sea. He turned around as Rose came up behind him...
