Its a bit crappy since I just wrote it in the last hour, haven't checked over it and I'm not really sure where I'm going with it. However it will get better, so if you read it, please give it a chance even though the first chapters shitty.
Chapter 1: Experiments
A mist hovered over the city, it was a cold and dark night. There seemed to be hush in the air, the glow of house lights barely lit the bleak street. A young woman walked quickly down the pavement, her coat hitting against her feet as she stumbled in her high heals.
“Why did I have to be wearing high heels tonight?” She thought to herself angrily. For reasons beyond her understanding she kept listening for any sounds out of the ordinary. Her eyes were wide open, they shot to every little rustle in a bush. Everything seemed normal, all she could hear was the sound of her heels hitting against the concrete. She felt as though something was watching her, even though the street was completely empty, or at least she assumed it was, she could hardly see much of it. Slowly she picked up on a sound other then her heels tapping against the floor. It was the sound of someone walking, they were walking in a slow relaxed manner, taking there time over it, as if they were savouring it. The woman picked up her pace. To her dismay, the person behind her picked up its pace to. Slowly her paranoia took over her mind, she kept imagining him as some huge thug, her handbag was showing itself of very nicely. Every other possibility had gone, the person following her had to be a thug or a murder, it couldn’t be anything else. Fortunately the footsteps stopped and she was on her own again, at least she thought that until she walked straight into someone, he was almost solid and didn’t budge at all.
“Oh my God, I’m so sorry, I was in a hurry and didn’t see you there.” She said quickly. The man she walked into was almost invisible, he seemed to be engulfed by the night sky. All she could work out, was that he was tall, much taller then her and quite skinny.
“That’s quite alright, the streets can get pretty scary out here late at night.” He said, his voice was smooth, somewhat mesmerising.
“Yeah, well sorry again.” She said and walked past him, to her shock he grabbed her arm, his hand was icy.
“What are you doing!?” She asked in shock
“Hmm, you see I’ve been looking for someone like you for quite a long time now.”
“What, why me, what are you talking about?” She asked starting to get distressed, he tightened his grip around her arm, if felt like she had got it caught in an iron vice.
“Your young, powerful, I need someone like you. I know you don’t understand, people like you don’t understand anything, but times are changing, there’s no place for people like me anymore.”
“Please, let me go. I don’t know what your talking about.”
“No, I don’t think I will. I’m sorry, but I was out tonight looking for someone like you, I am sorry.”
“Let me go or I’ll scream.” She threatened
“Scream all you want, I can kill every single person in this town. No one can help you.”
“Your lying.”
“No, I’m not.”
“Oh God, what are you going to do to me?” She asked, tears starting to one down her eyes, she thought she knew already.
“Well, your going to be my test subject.”
“What?”
“You’ll see.” He said in his slow, calm voice. Slowly he let go of her arm, she tried to run but the man grabbed her around her neck. A shiver run down her back, his hands were so cold. He began to squeeze, it became harder and harder to breath, the world started spinning around and around. She was becoming dizzy. The lights from the houses became harder and harder to see and soon all she could see was darkness.
Meanwhile, in another part of England (yes that is where this story is set) a man was out on the streets. He had long brown hair, that looked as though it hadn’t been combed or washed in months. His light blue eyes glinted in the street lights. He wore a dark brown trench coat, that was almost like a cape in the wind. The streets were empty, it was light at night and no one wanted to be out at that time. The man seemed to be walking in a nice, little village, the streets were clean, there were no intimidating teenagers prowling the streets. However, upon close inspection of the village one would realise tat he was not walking in a nice place. The streets were much to empty, even in the day it seemed as though no one dared leave there houses. The man waked down another street, it was long and its state deteriorated the further he got along it. Towards the end of the street there was nothing but blood and cigarette buts. The man had come upon the reason no one ever left there house. A night club. Not just any night club, it was a night club filled with the worst horrors that one could ever dream of. He was one of the few humans to go into it and survive. It was mostly inhabited by demons, vampires and other foul creatures. The man took a deep breath and entered. As always he was disgusted by what he saw, the place was full of monsters as he expected. Heavy metal blared out of the speakers, in the middle of the club were two woman mud wrestling. In the four corners of the club, there were cages with woman locked in, they looked tired, hungry and scared. The smell coming out from the club was mix between smoke and rotting corpses, it was utterly sickening. The light in the club was crappy and the man had to squint to see anything at all. He walked over to the bar.
“Hi, Louie, how ya doing?” He asked slowly
“Hi, Will, I’m doing fine.” Sighed the bar keep, he hated the sight of Will, he had a tendency to cause trouble
“That’s good, I want a beer.” Said Will tossing a pound over to Louie. To most people Louie would have proved utterly disgusting. His face looked like melted plastic painted skin colour. His hair looked more like puke that had dried onto his head, it was falling out in large clumps. Eventually he came back with Will’s drink.
“Why do you keep coming in here, you cause trouble, one of these days people are going to be less accommodating and kill you.” Said Louie, he hated speaking to Will, there was no way to predict how he was going to react.
“Hmmm, I doubt it Louie, everyone single demon and vampire in here is afraid to say two words to me and there all to dumb to work as a team. So I doubt I have much to worry about.” Replied Will
“Yeah, well not every demon is afraid of you. What happens when one walks in who isn’t scared of you, what will you do then?” Asked Louie
“Same thing I usually do, I’ll kill them.” Louie spluttered with annoyance, he wanted Will out of his bar.
“One of these days, a demons going to come here, that demon won’t be like the trash you usually have to deal with and on that day you’ll die.” Said Louie trying to sound prophetic .
“I shall look forward to it.” Replied Will and sipped the rest of his beer.
