Solider
Somewhere far away a solider lay His body barbed with blood Screams of pain were all around him He could see hate, nothing else
He shivered, shaking fear Cursed the bullet that forced him here Far away his friends bodies turned ash He wondered if any would survive
The smell of blood Corrupted everything Misery overcame him, there was last no hurrah Just this muddy grave
The pain that this man felt, as life escaped from him Meant nothing far back home Where fools were sending paper warriors to there death
The future looked bleak There’d only be war Life and love crumble to war machines On his dying breath he prayed, that this world would live to see another day.
