[glow=red,2,300]Well, yeah, you had to know this was coming, agian this is by invitation only or if you were in the previous threads feel free to be in this one..[/glow]
Rondis sat alone in a bar, sipping on his beer, he looked slightly hung over and bags had developed underneath his eyes. He was missing Laura, it felt as though something had been taken out of his life, something he wanted back. Not only that he couldn't even go on another adventure, there was no villains to face, no horrors to contend with, no damsles in distress. There was just him and occasionaly Orion waiting around for somethign to happen. He and Orion had lost touch and only occasinaly bumped into each other, it didn't seem like there was much holding them together now that Laura had gone. Rondis wondred if she was happy, he wondred if she liked being a God, or may was she missing them as badly as he missed her. Rondis sighed to himself, he wanted something to happen...anything.

The bar door opened letting the sound of the rain inside. It shut but Rondis couldn't see anyone, he looked back at the bar and a person with a long beared sat at the bar. "Gimmie yer best'nd strongest ale" he said in a thick accent. The bartender quickly gave him the drink. The bearded man looked over at Rondis, "An Elf!?" he said in complete shock. "So?" Rondis replied. The bearded man turned round in his seat and jumped off the stall and dissappeared. Rondis looked round the bar to see that the man was infact a dwarf with and axe at the ready. "This will be the last elf who'll distract me from drinkin'" He charged at Rondis and then stopped. Orion was standing over him lifting him up by the axe handle and staring at him in the face. "Laddie...put me down or yer may get hurt..." "Anyone who attacks my friends will get hurt" They glared eacher other in the eye.

"Aye Laddie, I wouldn't think yer've got much ofa chance against me." Threatened the dwarf, Orion laughed to himself. "Hmm, if you knew everything i've been through I think you might reconsider that." Said Orion letting the dwarf drop to the floor. The dwarf straightened himself up and looked like he was going to attack again. Orion sighed to himself and kicked the dwarf hard in the gut, who seemed slightly winded but not put of. "Listen to me dwarf, Rondis is not a bad person, he has nothing against dwarves, so let it drop." Said Orion "Aye, fair enough." Said the dwarf climbing up on a stool

Rondis ignored most of this interraction, gazing sadly into his glass. He watched Orion sit down again and reach for his glass. It was barely two weeks since they'd returned from Mount Olympus together, after Arissa had died and Laura had been taken up. The trip back had been hard, long and prodominently silent. The floodwaters had dropped but were still around, for the arguments amongst the Gods were, as far as they were aware, still taking place. Laura's return to the Mountain of the Gods had settled them but so far as they knew, a peace had not fully been made. Every time he thought about it, he thought of Laura, and every time he thought of Laura he wanted to cry; but Rondis didn't think he had enough tears left for all the crying he'd already done. He was in total misery like he'd never been in before. He missed Laura; at the same time he was furious and ashamed for the way he felt about her, and on top of that he felt terrible for what he'd done to anger Orion. It wasn't until they'd been parted for so long that he'd realised how much his companionship with Orion meant to him, and now he was afraid that he'd ruined their friendship. Orion kept saying that they had yet to talk about it, but Rondis didn't want to talk about it. He didn't want to talk or think about anything. He was startled out of his thoughts as the Dwarf nudged him roughly. "What's up with ye, laddie?" Rondis realised that there were tears in his eyes. He quickly wiped them away. "Nothing." The Dwarf shrugged. "Suit yourself." He turned to Orion. "What were you sayin' was your name?"

"My name's Orion, what's your's?" He asked, not liking to give his name out without having one in return. "Ma names Lathall." Replied the dwarf "Fair enough, what brings you to this town." Asked Orion "Ah'm just lookin for somethin to do, ya know. Hangin aroud in the mines all day get a bit tirin." Answered the dwarf "Fair enough, I'm sure if you hang along here long enough something will come up, its almosti impossible to avoid those type of things when you know they exsist."

"S'what I thought," Lathall said cheerfully, nudging Rondis again. "Cheer up, Elfy boy. It ain't that bad bein' you, is it?" Rondis didn't reply. Orion could see tears running down his face. "Excuse me..." Rondis stood up and, head down and eyes averted, headed straight for the stairs. Lathall watched him leave, frowning. "S'up with him?" Orion sighed. "He's heartbroken." He hadn't wanted to admit it but it was too clear to be avoided. He noticed Lathall staring at him and realised that he'd spoken aloud. "He's missing one of our friends," he explained. "They were...very good friends. Sir Lathall, if you'll excuse me for a moment, I think I should speak to him." He stood up and left the Dwarf watching him. Orion pushed the door open where it had been left open. At first the room looked empty, then he spotted Rondis half-hidden behind the bookshelf, huddled against the wall with his knees drawn to his chest. Orion came into the room and wordlessly sat down beside him. They were both silent for a moment. "I'm sorry," whispered Rondis.

Orion shook his head, wondering how to answer for a moment. A million different conflicting ideas battled for significance in his mind but so far the most important one was his friend's wellbeing. Yes, he was angry with Rondis, and yes, it was wrong how he felt, but at the moment making his point would only make Rondis worse, and that wasn't going to help anyone. "Look, Rondis," he said eventually. "You and I both know what I'm feeling right now. I can't even be bothered to list it all. But we need to start on this somewhere, and this is where I suggest." He turned on his knees to face him. "Laura." Rondis sniffed, drawing a hand over her eyes. "What about her?" "We need to find her. I don't know where she is or what she's doing. Maybe she's a God up there with the others. Maybe she's out there somewhere looking for us. Either way, we're going to find her." Rondis looked up, confused. "Remember when we were first together? It was all about travelling and adventure. Let's find Laura, Rondis. Let's get out there and search the world until we find her." He hesitated, then added, "I know that this is what you want to do. You want Laura back more than anything else in the world." And right now, he thought, all I want is for you to be happier. "So this is what we'll do," he said aloud. "Orion, I--" Rondis began, no doubt to defend himself against Orion's accusations about him and Laura. Orion raised a hand to stop him. "I don't care at the moment, Rondis. We'll come back to that. But you aren't the only one who cares for Laura, and I want to know that she's safe. So?" He reached out and gently placed a hand on Rondis' arm. "Are you with me?" Rondis paused, his eyes drifting slowly from Orion's hand to his face. Slowly a smile spread across his face. "I'm with you. You know I am."

They headed for the exit. Realising his new friends were leaving, Lethall quickly gulped down his drink and jumped off the chair. "Where ya laddies off to eh?" "We're going to find an old friend" Orion said. "Of course, I enjoy my own freedom and have far better things to do, but I suppose I could spare some time helping you look for this lil guy" Lethall wiped his mouth with his sleeve and looked up at them. Orion looked at Rondis, who simply shrugged. "Our friend is a girl" Rondis said "Come on then" So the three of them walked out of the bar and into the rainy night

Rondis, Orion and Lethall threw their hoods over their heads as they stepped out into the torrential rain. Lethall looked around as they headed to the stables. "So, you got any sorta idea of where to be lookin' for this lassy?" Orion hesitated, wondering how to answer. "Not really," he said eventually. "I see. Who is she?" "Her name is Laura," Rondis said. "A...a human child." He wasn't sure how much information the Dwarf could be trusted with. If Lethall felt that anything was being hidden from him, however, he made no sign. "There be many a place in this world a human child could be," he said. "We'll find her," Orion said. "We just have to know where to start looking." "O'course," Lethall said, as Orion opened the stable doors. "Any ideas?"

"Greece?" Rondis suggested "What'd she be doin' in greece?" Lathall asked "Doing godly things maybe" Orion replied "On holiday?" Rondis chipped in "Godly things yeh say?" Lathall hummed to himself "Why not Atlantis?" "Atlantis is a myth though" "In this world we;re all myths so there shudn't be any reason why Atlantis can't be around? Lathall continued "He has a point..."Orion said after a breif pause "But why would a god be in Atlantis?" Rondis asked "On 'oliday!" Lethall grinned

Rondis rolled his eyes but couldn't help smiling. He and Lethall sat outside while Orion went into the stables to parley the borrow of three horses. "So what be an Elf such as yourself doin' with a man like Orion?" he asked. "We..." Rondis hesitated, trying to remember how and why he'd ever met Orion. "We just met," he said. "I ran into Laura purely by chance and so did he...and that was the night we were first attacked by the Sirens, so we escaped together. We've been together ever since." Lethall nodded. "And so this Laura," he said, "she's just another coincidental companion of yours?" "I guess," Rondis said. Lethall looked Rondis up and down. "I gotta say, you ain't like any other Elf I've met before." Rondis hesitated, unsure of what to say. "What do you mean?" "Well," Lethall said, kicking his feet against the wall they were sitting on. "Them Elves, they're usually such a poncy lot. All 'igh-n-mighty and that. Not meanin' offence." "None taken," Rondis said. "Most Elves are very...well...they don't really get on with Dwarfs," he finished. "So it's no wonder, really." "But the ways of your people haven't taught you to stay away from us," Lethall said with a grin. "Not really," Rondis said absently. "I've never come across your type before."

Across the large forest stretching over hundreds of acres of land, there was a steep cliff by the sea. The angry waves crashed into the rocks, washing away any footprints on the sand, as if covering up the evidence that someone had visited the lonely beach. At the bottom of the cliff, there was a cave. The cold night's wind blew into the cave, and it gave a soft eerie echo. Raindrops were dripping down the cold stone walls and an unpleasant smell came from deep inside the heart of the cave. A mist began to gather at the opening of the cave and gradually it formed the transparent face of a God. Although weak and about to vanish from existance, his eyes were full of power. "Helena..." the ghostly figure whispered. A few seconds later, a flutter of wings was heard and a bat flew out from the darkness. It transformed into a middle aged woman with long curly red hair, wearing a long black cloak and a necklace which bore their symbol. "So the rumour is true" she said, "The old Hades is still alive" "If you call this being alive" Hades replied "I'm losing my strength by every second" "Then I am honoured that you have remembered me and come to bid farewell before you go" There was a slight sarcasm in her tone. "I am not gone yet" he said "I have come to you seeking for help" "But whether help is given will depend on what you request" "Kill 3 people, that is all" "It sounds so simple, yet something this easy must have a catch" "Orion and Rondis, they are easy targets, but the 3rd and most important person is Laura, daughter of Zeus" Hearing the last 3 words, the woman laughed. "When I wish to commit suicide, I shall let you know. At this moment, I wish to live" "You have to help me! You have the power to! You are the Vampire Queen" Hades said "I am, and I rule all vampires, but you know that no one can be more powerful than Zeus" That sentence angered Hades "Hades, I refuse to go after Laura, you shall have to find someone else. But remembering our long history, I do owe you a small favour, so you can leave the other two, to me" With that, she transformed back into a vampire and flew away.
In the forest, tall trees stood close together, swaying in the wind, casting dark threatening shadows on the grass below. A bat landed upside down on one of the branches, and waited. Not long afterwards, another bat came, sensing her mistress' arrival. The newcomer transformed into a young woman in her early twenties, with jet black hair, wearing a same black cloak and the symbol of the vampire. SHe knealed down in front of her mistress. "Ava" the Vampire Queen said, smiling. THe young vampire stood up and looked at Helena. "I have a task for you" Helena said "Have you already killed tonight?" Ava nodded "Then I have two more targets for you." The Vampire queen briefly explained the task. "I will do what you request" Ava said "You are my favourite" Helena said "I grant you this honour" They both transformed back into bats, the vampire queen flying back towards their cave and Ava towards the town.

[glow=red,2,300]It's a good thing you're here, Phoenix, or we'd just be wandering around with no storyline [/glow] Orion, Rondis and Lethall set up camp later that day in the grassy, rock-strewn land south of the village, an area of grasslands and sparce forests known as Kharandol. Orion had lit a fire with the dry wood around and was now out doing what he did best: hunting. Lethall was sharpening his axe, having already 'improved' Rondis' sword blade, and Rondis himself was trying to make sense of a map he'd 'found' in the inn they'd been staying in. He'd looked at it from four different directions and it still made no sense to him. "You know what would make this map make sense?" he said to Lethall, who wasn't really listening. "A compass. Names on the town. Anything, really." "I thought you Elves were supposed to know their way around," Lethall said absently. "In places we've been before," Rondis sighed. "This is hopeless." It was properly dark now and he couldn't move the map any closer to the fire without it bursting into flames, though that prospect seemed tempting by this time. Lethall suddenly sat bolt upright. "You hear that?" Rondis had frozen, as well. He had heard it: a swishing sound from above, like wings soaring overhead. "Birds?" Lethall suggested quietly. "Doubt it," Rondis said. The sound came again, and this time it was accompanied by the unmistakable twang of a bowstring. Rondis and Lethall leapt to their feet and ran from the campfire in the direction Orion had disappeared almost half an hour ago. Lethall had grabbed a burning branch from the fire and led the way, and Rondis drew his sword as they ran. They soon came to the edge of a wooded area and ahead they could hear inhuman shrieks, shouts and swishing wings. The two ran on; soon they burst into the clearing where Orion was pinned to the ground by some human-sized creature with a wingspan of at least fifteen feet, sharp claws pinning his sleeves to the muddy ground and three-inch fangs dangerously near his throat. Rondis gave a shout and swung his sword at the creature; it dodged, taking flight and soaring upwards. Rondis dragged Orion to his feet and the hunter went straight for his bow, which was lying on the ground. Straightening up he fired again into the sky, narrowly missing the creature. "What in the name of the Sun God was that?" Lethall cried. "A vampire," gasped Orion, breathless and shaking. "A pretty powerful one, too." [glow=red,2,300]This is gonna turn into a race to Laura between the good guys and Helena and a chase from Ava...great, we have a storyline!! [/glow]

The vampire watched them from woods, she flapped her might wings and soared majesticall over them. "Hmm, I think we should get out of here, we're not ready for a full fledged battle." Said Orion "And go where?" Asked Rondis drawing out his sword "I don't know, maybe we should just run." Said Orion. They both agreed and set of, they run through the bushes as fast as they could, the brambles swung back in there faces cutting and slashing them. The vampire was catching up quickly, even in the woodland she was much quicker then they were. Suddenly she stopped and looked confused, there was a golden barrier in front of her, it wasn't allowing her to go any farther. "What?!" asked Rondis "Figure it out later, run now." Said Orion and they started running again.

The golden barrier suddenly glowed, and rays of bright light shot out of it. Ava ducked and felt her white skin sting. It wasn't strong enough to weaken her or harm her, but the pain was strong. She knew immediately what had caused this barrier to appear, and that there's no way past it, so she gave the two runners one more stare and turned her back then flew away.

Eventually Orion decided they could stop and they slowed down to a holt, puffing and panting. "Does this that happen a lot round yer guy then?" Asked Lethall "Told you, you would find adventure if you stayed around us." Said Rondis "Well elfs ain't good liars, ah'll give ya that." Replied Lethall "What was that thing?" Asked Rondis again "A vampire, like I said it was a strong one, I don't particuarly fancy running into her again." Sair Orion "They never seemed that tough on Buffy." Replied Ronids, somwhat jokingly "Whats Buffy?" Asked Orion "Doesn't matter." "Hmm, well this does raise some intresting questions...I don't think we've seen the last of the vampire and I do think that she was here for a reason." Said Orion "Well, lets just hurry up, we'll be safe when we get to Atehens." Said Rondis "Hmmm, its going to be a long trip." Replied Orion

[glow=red,2,300]So, what was the golden barrier? Was that the Gods at work?[/glow]
Rondis had (typically) left the map at their campsite so they were now pushing their way blindly through the forests of Kharandol. The sky they could see through the canopy was almost completely overcast, making it hard even for Orion to tell the direction they were heading. For several hours they wandered before stopping to rest, and the following morning they hurried on, casting frequent, anxious glances over their shoulders for signs of the vampire following them. For all of that day they continued in this fashion but they found no path and no way to lead them to the edge of the forest.

They were starting to get worried, the forest seemed to go on forever, there were no land marks to speak of, everything looked exactly the same, they were getting low on food and water by this point. Rondis feet were blistering and Orions brain was starting to ache, he was having trouble finding a way out of this place, it didn't help that every night fall they had to camp in terror, they didn't trust the vampire had gone. That night rain started to fall down, it was a stormy night. "Brilliant, this is how i'm going to die, by being crushed by a tree." Saird Rondis angrily "no one's going to die Rondis, we've been through worse then this." Replied Orion "Yeah, I guess." Suddenly a man on a horse rode past them, the horse was going at top speed. "Hey! Hey!." shouted Rondis, the man made the horse holt to a stop. He turned around to look at them, he had light blue eyes and long thick black hair, he was wearing heavy armour. "What!" He asked "I was wondering if you could tell us the way out of this forest." Said Rondis "Hmm, I could, but the way is dark ." Replied the man. "Best to turn around now." He added "Not turning around." Said Orion stubornley "Well fair enough, if you keep walking north, then you'll come to path, it will lead the cave." Said the man "There's something wrong with the cave?" Asked Orion slowly "only if you don't like bugs." Replied the man "Ah, I take it that there's a giant spider there?" asked ronids, thinking back to all the books he had read. "Not really, a lady is the queen of insects, she's also geine, she lives in the cave. The rumour goes that she can grant you one wish, if you face one of her trials." said the man "So she could transport us to Athens?" Asked Rondis excitedly "Yep, but I don't know what you want to go there for, not at the moment." "Whats wrong with it?" Asked Orion, the man dropped his voice so it was hardly more then a whisper "Well, you know Hades, its said that his ghost...apparently he's been killed. anyway it has been said that has been regaining his strength as of late. Thats why the wheather is so bad. Well he's been getting gradually stronger, which is bad news since he's no longer confined to the underworld. He's been buliding an army, he's going to try and take over Athens." Explained the man grimly "Well now, that does make life intresting." Said Lethall

The man cast a look around him, as though afraid the ghost of Hades would leap out at them at any moment. "I must make haste," he said in a low voice. "The Gods be with you, fair travellers, and heed my warning: if you value your lives and companions, stay away from that cave! On, Thunder," he called, and his horse shot off into the night again. "That sounds promising," Rondis said sarcastically, then added, "Sarcasm is the tool of evil," in perfect unison with Orion. "Bugs don't scare me," Lethall said. "Nor me," Rondis lied. "Orion?" "Depends," Orion said, "on how big they are. I'm not afraid of bugs. Man-sized beasts with poisoned fangs are what I'm worried about." "Well let's not kick around watching the grass grow in this forest," Lethall said. "Though I'll bet the grass has trouble growing down here, what with the sun almost constantly blocked out. Come on!" As Lethall began packing their stuff up, Orion looked at Rondis. "You're not afraid, are you?" "Of course not," Rondis said slightly too fast. Orion shrugged and followed Lethall.

They walked of another day in an attempt to get to the cave, it was a long, long way away. Yet they were starting to see positive signs, or not so positive as the case may be, spiders were becoming more and more frequent as were other nasy little insects. Moths flew around Orion, who was becoming very frustrated with them. Rondis looked shakily from side to side, he didn't like spiders much, and they were all around him, it was starting to creep him out. Lethall was the only one who remained perfectly calm, for the first time he strode ahead. Slowly a cave came into focus, it was lighed by a dull glow, spiders scuttled in and out of it, webs covered the entrance way. Across the top there was a sign, it read: "Through this gate lies darkness for those who fear it, through this gate lies hope for those who need it, but come in without power in your heart then death lies here because I breath it." Orion took time reading it, making surei t didn't hold any hidden messages. "Hmm, this seems to be saying what the man explained." He said after a while. "Fun, I guess we go in then." Said Rondis heasitently. "I would suppose so." replied Orion, Lethall lead the way, cutting the webs with his axe, as they entered Orion pulled his bow out, he was not going to be taken unaware. They walked down the cave, it was getting more and more disturbing, giant spiders scuttled over head, the legs clicked as they headed around them. Rondis looked up at the wrong moment one time and looked into there cold, black eight eyes, it was hairy and almost as big as him, its sharp teeth clicked together at the sight of him. Orion raised his bow, expecting that the spider would make a move. Fortunately it didn't, it scuttled of further down the cave. "This just gets worse and worse." Groaned Rondis "Thought ya said that ya weren't scared of bugs." Mocked Lethall. They continued walking, the cave was getting much more light now. There were more torches, everything was alluminated. Finally they came to a big open room, in which the most horryfying sight they had seen for a while met there eyes. Standing in the room was a half woman, half spider creture. Her bottom half was what a huge spider would look like, but her top half looked much more womanly. She had spikey brown hair runnind down her back and her arms, her eyes were black and instead of teeth she had sharp fangs. Surrounding the room were many disgusting sights, corpses, various webs, many, many dead insects, smaller spiders scuttled around her. But the worst sight of all was right in front of them, there was a young teenager, around about Laura's age, she was tied up with webbing, the tears were running down her face. She had a gash across her exposed stomach, the spider woman was putting very minni eggs inside the gash. The girl was hard to see the webbing was so tight around her, but it wasn't hard to see how obviously distressed she was, the fear was being emitted of her. The spider woman looked at the three men, a sly smile came across her demonic face. "Can I help you?" She asked

Rondis nearly turned on the spot and ran but Lethall grabbed him before he could. Orion held his bow in front of him so tightly his hands were shaking, raising it in warning. The spider-woman smiled slowly. She swiftly manouvered around the child with speedy movements of her eight legs, deftly kicking the squirming body aside. Blood and creamy substance trailed as she rolled to the wall. Orion fought not to move as she approached. "And what would three such travellers be doing in my domain?" she asked sweetly. There was a certain, strange charm in her voice that made Orion imagine a woman she may have once been, beautiful and loving, before whatever curse this was had taken her. "We are merely passing," Orion said firmly. "We seek a friend who is in Athens. We would have you take us to her." The woman smiled, moving closer. Her sharp legs moved like lightning but her body was smooth as though gliding over water. "You are a child of the stars," she said, looking Orion over with her huge, black eyes. "A hunter. I see it in your eyes. Your blood would make good lifefood for my young." Rondis swallowed painfully. The spider-woman turned her gaze slowly to the others. "And what company is this?" she asked charmingly. "An Elf and a Dwarf in this strange place together." Lethall quickly let go of Rondis' arm. "You look come for a challenge, Master Dwarf." Lethall raised his axe. "Show me what trial you have, witch, and watch me overcome it," he growled. The spider-woman laughed. She had a pretty laugh, Orion thought, like a young woman being charmed by the local lads of her town. The spider-woman turned her gaze onto Rondis. "You do not look pleased in your surroundings at all, Master Elf," she said quietly. Rondis was slowly backing to what he hoped was the exit, but what he'd miscalculated to be the wall behind him. "Not afraid of little spiders, are you?" The only time Orion had seen Rondis look more scared was when he'd been at the mercy of Hades' Hydra. "If you are so displeasured, Elf, why do you follow these brave hunters into my home?" She edged coser, reaching one sharp leg in Rondis' direction. "Leave him," Orion said sharply. The spider-woman froze, still smiling at Rondis, then slowly turned back to Orion. "We are here to face your trial so you will grant us our wish," he said fiercely. "Do as we bid." "Very well," the spider-woman said. "But I grant one wish to one person only. If you would all be included in your flight to Athens then all of you must complete a challenge." "Fine," Lethall said. "Bring it on." Rondis said nothing, aware that if he opened his mouth he'd probably be sick. The spider-woman smiled once more, and this time there was venom in her eyes.

[glow=red,2,300]Sure[/glow] "Well I'll go first." Said Orion stepping forward, the dwarf looked preturbed by this but accepted the decision. "You really are a Gods son, brave and unyeilding, but this task may prove to be your undoing." Said the spider woman, her legs clicked as she walked towards him, her big black spidery eyes were staring into his, it was an effort not to blink or to move. He didn't want to back down from her, in fact he refused. "Well then, I'll have to ask you to keep your weapons outside, only your mind can save you in there." She said, smiling wider still. Orion grudingly dropped his weapons to the ground, his mind was spinning as to what task. The spider woman pointed Orion to a door, he slowly opened it. There was nothing inside it other then darkness, then slowly the lights appeared. Orion fell back horrified, standing in front of him was his father.

[glow=red,2,300] Ooooh, I'm intrigued![/glow]
The door slowly swung closed with a resounding crash. The spider woman smiled, then laughed, her beautiful, summery laugh echoing around the cave like flowing water, filling Lethall and Rondis with icy fear.
[glow=red,2,300]I'm not gonna add to what's going on in there because I really have no idea..I'll come in for Rondis' challenge though[/glow]

Orion for the first time in a long while started shaking, Poseidon was stanind in front of him holding up his huge pitch fork, his blonde hair rolling down his back, his cold blue eyes staring a hole through Orion. "your not here, my father is in the ocean." Said Orion slowly, he knew this was just a trick, but he seemed so real. "I'm here in this room Orion, in this room I am your father." Said Poseidon "No, your really not." Replied Orion, he was trying to keep his cool. "When you were four, a hawk landed on you, it started pecking at your eyes, you cried for two days, some warrior you turned out to be." Said his father "Hmm, doesn't prove anything, she's a geinie, she'd know that." Argued Orion, he was slightly unnerved by this. "Hmm, you know I had to do it." Said his Poseidon, chaning the topic. Orion said nothing, he wanted his bow or his sword, he wanted to slice the mans head of. "I had to, you must know that, if I allowed you to fall in love you would have never become the warrior that you are today." Continued the man. Orion still remained silent, he gazed into his watery blue eyes. "You were falling in love, love does not make warriors, if I didn't do it, you would have spent the rest of your life farming crops or looking after children, that was no life for my boy." Said the man. Orion didn't say anything, but the words peirced through him, he never wanted to think of this again. "I had to kill her, son." Continued Poseidon "I HATE YOU!" Blurted out Orion, he knew now, in his heart that the was his father, maybe he was only his father in this room, but as long as he was in there, he was dealing with his dad. "NO! You don't, I made you what you are today, I made you great." "No, you hollowed me out, you made it so I couldn't feel anything, you made it so I just wondred through the world, trying to find something to take my mind of the loss, you made a hole in my heart and it will never heal, I will never feel complete thanks to you, I hate you!" Orion snapped, he couldn't beleive what he said, he wasn't being logical, he wasn't thinking things through, this was exactly what the insect woman wanted. "Well, I see you've found friends, maybe I should kill them, you can't be warrior unless your alone, to be the perfect fighter one has to be made of stone." Suddenly images of Laura and Rondis appeared behind Poseidon, they were scrambling along the ground blood pouring out of them, hardly anything more then corpses. Fortunately this snapped Orion back into reality, the whole image was over the top, he knew now what was happening, the woman was trying to paly on his fears, on this occasion she had gone overboard, now it just seemed tacky. Orion smiled slightly and went to sit against the wall. Poseidon tried everything in his power to get into Orion's head, but he couldn't budge him, slowly he began to fade, then dissapeared.

Orion gave a roar of hatred and rage and ran full pelt at the fading apparition; it burst into dusty particles as he hit it and he emerged on the other side, bright sunlight streaming onto his eyes. Their exploits in the forest and underground had lasted all night, and it was daytime now, and he was on the other side of the forest. In the distance he could see water sparkling in a wide river, and beyond that a distant city. He turned back to the cave, wondering fearfully what was awaiting Lethall and Rondis.
"Master Dwarf," sidled the Spider-Woman, her eyes alight with malicious deilght. "Your turn..."

The dwarf strolled into the room, he looked confident and strong, slowly the door slammed behind him, leaving only darkness, he waited for something to happen, nothing did. There was only darkness, no soud, no images, just a never ending tomb of blackness, he started to pannic he wanted out, he remembered the last time he was in a place like this, it was the day his parents died, he was locked inside a small cell, from the outside he couldh here there shouts. Slowly the screaming began again, he started to shake and fell to the ground.

Lethall took a deep breath, and slowly looked up; he gave a cry as he saw the wall in front of him, at least five feet closer than it had been. He leapt to his knees, realising that the walls around him were closer than they had been a moment ago. He closed his eyes, trying to stay calm, and when he opened them again they were closer still. He leapt to his feet, reaching for the axe that wasn't there. He whimpered, cried, then screamed.
"Stop it!" Rondis shouted. The spider-woman smiled maliciously as Lethall's screams echoed out. "Stop it! Let him out!" cried Rondis. "He cannot come out now," the spider said wickedly. "Not until he finds his way out." "Lethall!" Rondis shouted, running to the sealed door. "Lethall, can you hear me? Lethall? LETHALL!" "Isn't this touching," the spiderwoman said. "An Elf calling for a Dwarf." "Let him out," Rondis begged, "please, let him out!" "He will let himself out," she said acidly, "if he's lucky."

The walls continued to close in, Lethall couldn't help pannicing, sweat started running down his face, in frustration he smashed his fist against the wall, it did nothing. He fell to the ground and closed his eyes, hoping that it would all go away, but the walls were still moving closer and closer, he knew he was going to die, but there was a small part of him that wasn't scared. Maybe death wasn't as bad as he thought it would be, maybe it was just another adventure. As soon as he thought this there was a small crack in the walls, it was tiny, but he could fit through it. Lethall made a dash towards it, the walls were closing in faster now, but he made it and suddenly he was out the other side.
